To reach the municipality of Port-au-Persil, you can not miss the small secondary road that leads to it. From the main road, we can't see the beauty of the scenery that is hidden in the hollow of this small valley. Located near the St.Lawrence River, the village is built on two mountain sides across from each other.

From the wharf, we realize the particular character of Charlevoix, the mountains that come down into the sea, the rocky land, the isolation of the population as a result of the seasons, and the ever present signs of the Saint-Lawrence river's bad temper. All these obstacles had to be overcome by our ancestors in order to settle this unwelcoming territory.
