Our History
Passed down from father to son, the Hotel du Voyageur exists since 1989. That year, Gilles and Ginette decided to leave Val d’Or, in Abitibi, to found a new hotel company in the Outaouais region. After many months of hard labour, the Hotel was inaugurated on December, 11th. It was composed of 26 rooms and a restaurant. The following year, the restaurant was replaced by a larger reception and a suite. The owners continued to expand the hotel and in 1999, they reached a turning point with the opening of the Resto-Bistro L’entracte, a second conference room and an outside pool with a terrace.

The Hotel has been extended and refurbished to become a professionally run, friendly four-star establishment in 2004.

It is located in downtown Gatineau, the largest city in the Outaouais. The Hotel du Voyageur
is accessible via AutoRoute 50.
