Zone de Texte: NEWS for January 11th 2008 √ Daaquam Race Organizers Add Skijor Class. The organizers of the Daaquam River, QC World Cup event are adding an IFSS sanctioned skijor event. 2 x 4 miles 1 dog and 2 x 4 miles 2 dogs; the Januray 18th 2008 at 8h30 and the saturday Januray 19th 2008 at 8h30. Organizers are not guaranteeing a purse for the 2 day event, however participation on both days would pass as the equivalent of 1 qualifying heat with respect to collecting World Cup points. √ New data processing time system for the race; ChronoPlus. Official dealer. √ Accredited IFSS for the 2007-2008 World Cup Program for Mid Distance ( 3 X 34 miles only) and Sprint ( 4 miles, 6 miles, 9 miles, 12 miles) √ New class; 2 x 9 miles, class 8 dogs for the Thursday 10th and Friday 11th with 2500$can in purse and the Sunday only: 4 miles, class 4 dogs ( no purse) √ New class for 2008: 3 x 34 miles class 12 dogs √ 500$ can in purse for the musher who will beat the Lou Serre’s world record in the 6 miles class 6 dogs in the Daaquam trail! Getting here from the USA: From Augusta in Maine (3h30min); From Augusta to Jackman take the 201. At St-Georges (Quebec) take the 204 East, at St-Just-de-Bretenieres turn right after the church and follow the blue "Pourvoirie Daaquam" road signs.
