Why La Maison Dufresne ?
From December
1895 to April 1998, the house was the property of the Dufresne
family. Adrien Dufresne, architect, was one of the house last
occupant and the designer of the Basilique Notre-Dame-du-Cap
in Cap-de-la-Madeleine also of the Sainte-Thérèse de Lisieux
church near Beauport. Mister Dufresne was a Dom Bellot's
disciple, a Benedictine architect, who worked for the
Montréal Saint-Joseph Oratory.
