Use pork liver or shrimps as baits. A little piece on each hook is enough. Make sure the tip is well hidden. Change baits every 4 or 5 minutes. Throw the used baits into the whole.
The weights must always be a half-an-inch from the bottom. The "Poulamon" is a "groundfish" : it stays near the bottom of the river. It won't go out of its way to bite on your hook, so you have to place your baits on its path. Verify the height of your fishing lines regularly. Here on the Sainte-Anne river, there are tides.
