Unique in its kind in Quebec, the Musée des Anciens Canadiens presents a very impressive collection of original carvings (life size) in a room appropriately arranged and newly restored. You will be able to see a video tape on wood, snow and stone carving (duration 15 minutes).
As a guardian of the wood carving and craft heritage, the museum presents a unique collectionof works from well noted artists such as:
The Bourgault Brothers, Pier Cloutier "Clout" Roger-André Bourgault, Jacques Bourgault, P.E. Caron, H. Raby, Fernand Bourgault, etc.
Come and see a sculptor at work. (During high season and for visiting groups).
In the boutique, you will find a wood sculpture or a small souvenir to remind you of your visit at the museum.
