All along the river, the Cote-Nord is accessible on almost its entire length by road 138, and many secondary roads lead to the inland. The region is also serviced by five major ferries, with boarding wharfs in Tadoussac, Escoumins, Forestville, Baie-Comeau and Woodward. Most outfitters can be reached by seaplane.
