Let yourself be charmed by the beauty of the Îles de la Madeleine! Its long beaches along its carved cliffs, its everfresh seefood and the more than warm welcome of its inhabitants will surely delight you. Hope to see you soon!
The Île de Grande-Entrée is the last one to have been inhabited permanently and was named the Quebec’s lobster capital in 1994. In Pointe de la Grande Entrée, you will find a fishing harbour, shops and the Madelimer factory of fish processing. There is also a restaurant that serves seafood and fish as well as gift shops. In the Baie de Grande-Entrée, you can visit a blue mussels breeding, similar to the one located in the lagoon of Havre-aux-Maisons. The Club vacances Les Îles, located near the Bassin aux Huîtres, offers outdoor, natural environment discovery and ornithology activities, as well as guided hiking excursions in the East Point National Wildlife Reserve. You can also visit the Seal Interpretation Center to assist to the multimedia representation on ice banks and also hike up to the Île Boudreau where you will discover an isolated place with beaches and small paths.
